Assessment and InterventionAn assessment is the first step in the intervention process at All About Speech, Language and Literacy. This helps target areas of strength and need for your child. An assessment can comprise of both informal and formal standardised assessments. An assessment helps in the planning process of setting goals for intervention. Goals will be determined based on both assessment findings and in collaboration with families, and the needs they identify as important for them.The speech pathology assessments can be conducted within the clinic, or preschool/school environment, depending on availability. The type of therapy chosen is based on family need and availability of services. The speech pathology assessment and intervention process may also involve collaboration with other professionals working with your child and family. A multi-disciplinary approach to intervention helps to ensure a holistic approach is taken when addressing your child's and family’s needs. |

School Aged ChildrenSchool-based speech pathology services are available for your child at their primary school or high school. Parents are welcome to attend these sessions, however we understand that life can be very busy, and this is not always viable. We will provide you with weekly communication about your child's goals and their progress so that we are working in partnership with you. |
